Jusoor is an NGO of Syrian expatriates supporting the country’s development and helping Syrian youth realize their potential through various programs and initiatives in the fields of Education, Career, and Global Community Engagement.
The Syrian Refugee Education program helps thousands of Syrian children continue their education outside of Syria. Read more on Jusoor educational centers in Lebanon.
Jusoor helps Syrian students looking to complete their studies abroad, attain academic scholarships at top universities across the US, Europe and the Middle East.
Jusoor holds workshops on topics such as CV writing, job interviews, and improving career portfolio aimed at enhancing the skills and competencies of young Syrians.
Through mentorship, incubators and competitions, Jusoor enables young Syrian entrepreneurs to enhance their leadership skills and secure their startup funding.

On January 22, 2015, Jusoor submitted an application to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service to be recognized as a tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”). This application is currently pending. If and when tax-exempt status is granted, it is expected to apply on a retroactive basis back at least to the date on which the application was submitted (the “effective date”), and donations to Jusoor made on or after the effective date will then be deductible to donors for U.S. income tax purposes as charitable contributions in accordance with section 170(a) of the Code.
