Partnering to Support Syrian Entrepreneurs

For more than five years now, Jusoor has invested in the development of Syrian entrepreneurs. Our Entrepreneurship Program aims to create a strong collaborative community for Syrian entrepreneurs to learn from successful businesses, peers, and role models. To date, we have successfully trained over 500 entrepreneurs and provided $400,000 in cash funding to support new businesses.

Founded in 2018, Habibi Worldwide sells high quality, beautiful socks inspired by, and designed in the Arab world, and they donate a percentage of their profits to supporting Arab entrepreneurship. Jusoor and Habibi Worldwide initially partnered through the Arab Conference at Harvard, and with that postponed have worked together to bring their partnership online. The shared goal of promoting Syrian entrepreneurship is too strong to let COVID-19 stand in the way!

Since the beginning of 2020, Habibi Worldwide has set aside profits from its online revenues each month for Jusoor, and generously extended the partnership into May. These profits are generously supporting Jusoor’s new Online Small Business Accelerator in Jordan, which will launch officially in June 2020.

There are currently limited efforts and programs targeting Syrian entrepreneurs and when they do exist, these efforts tend to be small and scattered. Habibi Worldwide understands that this gap must be filled if Syrian youth are to succeed, and have invested in Jusoor’s Entrepreneurship Program to make that a reality.

You can help Syrian entrepreneurs today by visiting and making your purchase. Thank you.
