Let’s join hands this Giving Tuesday

Dear Jusoor Friends and Family,

Next Tuesday, November 28th, is Giving Tuesday. It’s a global day where nonprofits around the world rally their supporters to give.

On this occasion, Jusoor is organizing a $100,000 campaign to support Syrian children and youth. And we need your help! Our goal is to do this all through crowdfunding, where you each build your own campaign, set your own fundraising goal and reach out to your own networks. If each of us builds a campaign with our own fundraising goal — whether it’s $500 or $5,000 — imagine what we can do together.

A $1,000 donation pays the salary of one teacher in Lebanon for two months. Our teachers, who are refugees themselves, teach 40 students each. $700 provides a child with the gift of basic literacy, thereby changing the life of that child forever. $40 helps one child get to school everyday for two months, thereby eliminating one of the main barriers of access to education for children in Lebanon. And $3,000-$4,000 sends a Syrian student to university for one year in Lebanon or Jordan, helping them achieve their dreams.

This year, we are asking that all donations be made through Facebook (preferably) or directly through Jusoors’ website. Facebook will be matching a substantial amount of donations and waiving fees on Giving Tuesday, which is a great opportunity. Mark your calendars to make donations on November 28th, preferably right after 8 am EST, through Jusoor’s Facebook Page.

Or let us know at info@jusoorsyria.com if you need
help in setting up your crowdfunding campaign!

Together we can make a huge difference for Syrian children and youth who need us more than ever. Let’s do this!

We also encourage you to select “Jusoor” as your charity of choice when you shop on Amazon. Go to smile.amazon.com/ch/45-3842245 and Amazon donates to Jusoor.
