Jusoor Lebanon programs grow to reach 1,906 children and youth this year

In November, Jusoor entered its 5th year of operation in Lebanon. Many accomplishments have been made. Over 3,500 children had a chance to continue their education, over 77 Jusoor teachers and 200 teachers from other organizations in Lebanon and Turkey have been trained, our English Language and vocational training programs in Beirut and the Bekaa are growing, and we have lately piloted programs for early childhood education and transportation to public.

We thank our key donors and partners for renewing their commitments with us: Chalhoub Group, Talal Sawaf Family and Friends, Sawa for Development and Aid, ANERA, Right to Play, CARE, and the American University of Beirut.

Jusoor Lebanon Scholarship Program admits a new cohort

Since the program’s inception in 2014, Jusoor has sponsored 45 students to study at the Lebanese International University, Beirut Arab University, American University of Science and Technology, American University of Beirut, and the Bekaa Technical Institute. Students are selected based on their academic achievement and potential, professional achievement, future plans, and social responsibility.

We sincerely thank our donors for the 2017-2018 cohort of 27 students: Talal Sawaf Family and Friends, Capital Guidance Corporation, Abdul Hadi Debs Foundation, and Raseef22. This year’s edition of the program focused on supporting students who were already enrolled at university and at risk of dropping out due to financial need.
